Job Purpose: The Supervisor, Avionics will be responsible to supervise functions assigned in the service, repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft components, parts, and accessories in accordance with company policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate entity. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all avionics maintenance activities for Business Aviation aircraft; Work with Coordinators for scheduling of manpower and avionics projects; Work with Crew Chiefs to supervise production of all avionics activities; Work with Q.A. department to ensure that aircraft documentation is complete and correct; Ensure tooling, equipment and parts are available to maintenance personnel to effectively and safely complete assigned work; Review customer and transient invoices as necessary; Participate in operations, maintenance meetings, and personnel meetings; Scheduling of avionics maintenance and personnel; Take an active role in the Safety Management System; Any other assigned duties. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Graduate of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Program minimum; Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AME); Category E; Experience with a high degree of proficiency in development of Canadian Engineering for Transport Canada Approval, SSTC, STC, SB’s, AD’s; Experience working with Engineering Companies and/or teams for Avionics modification with Structural associated upgrades; Certified experience with all avionics OEM Products and/or systems; Rockwell Collins, Universal Avionics, Honeywell, Garmin, L-3 Communications, GoGo, etc.; Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced working environment; Ability to produce high quality work both individually and within a team; Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills; established network; Minimum 8 years of experience in Avionics production support. Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (Category E) and have at least 8 years of experience in avionics production support. Proficiency with avionics OEM products and experience in developing engineering approvals for Transport Canada are required.
