IPT Leader – Avionics Systems Mirabel, Quebec | Hybrid – 3 days on-site | Full-time $130,000 – $160,000 + benefits We're looking for a senior IPT Leader / Program Manager to lead a significant portion of an aircraft avionics program. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Program Manager with a Systems Engineering background, or an Engineering Manager / technical leader with strong program and project management experience who is ready to take on broader responsibility. What You'll Do You'll lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for complex avionics development activities, working across Engineering, Procurement, Operations, suppliers, and program leadership. Your responsibilities will include: Leading an Integrated Product Team responsible for a significant avionics portfolio. Managing program priorities, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, resources, and deliverables. Working closely with engineering and systems teams to understand technical challenges and drive solutions. Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex technical and program issues. Managing supplier commitments, performance, and delivery. Identifying risks early and developing mitigation and recovery plans. Providing senior leadership with clear visibility into program performance, risks, and key decisions. Balancing technical requirements, business priorities, schedules, and resources. Building strong relationships across a matrix organization and influencing teams without relying solely on authority. Continuously improving program execution, communication, and processes. The role supports a broad range of aircraft avionics systems, including areas such as: Communications Flight Management Aircraft Displays Integrated Avionics Embedded Systems Other aircraft systems supporting the overall avionics architecture Leadership Scope You'll directly lead approximately 2–3 Program Managers within a core program team of approximately 10 people. Your overall sphere of influence will be approximately 50 people. You'll Bring 10+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical, engineering, project, or program environment. Experience in aerospace, avionics, aircraft systems, automotive, or another technically complex industry. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Strong Program and Project Management experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, suppliers, and deliverables. Experience working within a matrix organization. Strong technical curiosity and systems thinking. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong judgment, common sense, and problem-solving ability.
