Warehouse & Logistics Manager Aerospace & Defence Location: Calgary, AB Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 annually About the Opportunity Our client, an established aerospace and defence organization, is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead its Calgary warehouse operation. This is a working leadership role: you'll own the day-to-day performance of the warehouse; receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping. This will be done while leading and developing a dedicated team in support of long-term programs. You'll partner closely with supply chain, program, quality, and operations stakeholders to keep material flowing accurately and on schedule in an environment where traceability, accountability, and compliance genuinely matter. If you've managed aerospace parts, supported defence or military programs, or come from a Canadian Armed Forces logistics background, this role will put that experience to work. What You'll Do Run the warehouse. Oversee daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement. Keep the facility organized, safe, and efficient, and monitor space, equipment, and capacity as the operation evolves. Own inventory accuracy. Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations. Ensure every material transaction is accurately recorded in the ERP/inventory system and that traceability standards are maintained end to end. Keep material moving. Prioritize and coordinate material movements against program schedules, manage domestic and international shipments, and work with carriers and internal teams to make sure the right material is in the right place at the right time. Protect what matters. Maintain proper controls for high-value, sensitive, controlled, and specialized materials, and ensure operations meet company procedures, contractual obligations, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and follow through on corrective actions. Lead your team. Directly manage warehouse and logistics staff- such as assign work, set clear expectations, coach and develop people, support hiring and training, and build a culture of safety and accountability. Make it better. Track performance through KPIs, improve processes and work instructions, investigate operational problems, and keep leadership informed of status, risks, and resource needs. What You Bring Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of progressive experience in warehousing, inventory management, or logistics operations Proven experience leading warehouse or logistics teams Strong command of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and material handling Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems Sharp attention to detail and a genuine commitment to inventory accuracy Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance Strong Assets Experience handling aerospace parts and components Military or Canadian Armed Forces logistics experience Experience supporting defence or military sustainment programs Experience with military supply and inventory management systems Knowledge of Controlled Goods and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality environments Experience managing high-value, controlled, or specialized materials A supply chain or logistics designation (e.g., SCMP, CSCP, P.Log) Who Thrives Here This role suits a confident, dependable leader. Someone who builds strong teams, holds a high bar on accuracy and safety, solves problems quickly, and stays calm juggling competing priorities. If you're a hands-on warehouse leader with aerospace or defence experience who takes pride in a tight, well-run operation, we'd like to hear from you. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. All inquiries are strictly confidential.
