Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is seeking an Associate with at least two years of relevant experience and excellent academic credentials to join our top-ranked Aviation & Aerospace practice in our Financial Services group in the Toronto office. The candidate will have significant experience with aircraft financing and aviation regulatory matters gained at either a Canadian or international law firm, including aircraft leasing and commercial lending. The successful candidate will work on commercial aircraft and engine acquisitions/dispositions, operating leases, cross-border leveraged and finance leases, export-credit financings and aviation and aerospace regulatory matters, including drones and defence initiatives. The successful candidate will also provide support on a wide variety of lending and finance mandates for the Financial Services group, acting on a wide variety of mandates for regulated financial institutions (including domestic and foreign banks, trust companies, loan companies, credit unions and insurance companies) and other financial services providers.
