What are your contributions to the team?
In your role, you will:
Supervise and support Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as: Weight and center of gravity (CG) predictions at various levels of details in support of: Aircraft configuration development Tradeoff studies Uncertainty analysis Cost estimations Supplier discussions and negotiations Etc Detailed analysis:
Mass distribution and inertias estimations Fuel migration analysis Buoyancy assessment Weight targets definition Etc Review and approve Mass Properties deliverables Participate in the planning and tracking of Mass Properties activities Participate in discussions with internal and external contributors and/or partners as a Mass Properties representative Take active role in integration activities as a senior representative of the Mass Properties discipline Contribute to the development plan for Mass Properties tools and processes with a focus on continuous improvement Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the Mass Properties team Supervise engineering students’ internships. How to thrive in this role?
As our ideal candidate,
You have more than 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering. You have more than 10 years of experience in Mass Properties. You have participated in aircraft development programs as a Mass Properties expert You have a good understanding of aircraft systems and structures. You have a good understanding of the aircraft development and certification process. You are open-minded, curious, rigorous and methodical. You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view. You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience You have experience with CAD tools (Siemens NX experience is an asset) Possess a university degree in Engineering
