Purpose of position
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Inflight Training operations at the assigned base, ensuring effective program delivery, trainer performance, and resource management.
Key responsibilities
Base management
- Develop and maintain monthly training schedule for full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) trainers.
- Manage monthly classroom scheduling logistics per base.
- Manage training equipment and resources per base.
- Prepare and update “Go Boxes” for each program.
- Maintain program binders as required.
- Ensure timely distribution of new training programs and revisions for each base.
- Monitor and replenish training supplies (e.g., flip charts, markers, etc.).
- Coordinate with Inflight Training Coordinator and Inflight Training Manager to manage participant scheduling, including rescheduling due to incomplete or failed training.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of training devices (e.g., cabin simulators, door trainers).
- Coordinate and book external training facilities as required (e.g., simulators, fire training facilities).
- Provide input and feedback on initial training schedules.
Line trainer support / supervision
- Interview and select new PT Trainers.
- Lead onboarding and training of newly hired PT Trainers.
- Coordinate monthly training schedule for Line trainers.
- Review and distribute Instructor Observation Forms submitted by trainers.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance support to all PT Trainers at the base.
- Conduct class observations on each PT trainer and provide coaching and feedback.
- Manage annual performance review processes for PT Trainers.
- Facilitate biannual PT Trainer team meetings.
Course delivery / training facilitation
- Deliver mandated Inflight Training programs across multiple bases as required.
- Support and participate in the rollout of new training programs.
Program development
- Provide expertise and feedback to Inflight Training Developer.
- Participate in new training program rollouts and assist with facilitation of rollouts.
Other responsibilities
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Flight Attendant.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience facilitating Flight Attendant training.
- Prior training or instructional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Successful completion of the Jazz Flight Attendant Initial training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Flexibility to travel and work varied schedules as required.
Preferred qualifications
- Supervisory or management experience with direct reports.
- Diploma or Certificate in Adult Education.
- Experience with Crew Trac or similar crew management systems.
- Knowledge of crew qualification requirements.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
Note: French fluency or working knowledge is required for Montreal (YUL)-based roles.
