Role Description The Machine CNC Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC. The person in this role will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting technical blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine settings, and performing routine maintenance checks. The machinist will inspect parts using measuring instruments, record quality data, and collaborate with the production and quality teams to resolve machining issues. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all safety procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling for CNC equipment. Candidates should possess solid Machining and Milling skills for precision parts production. Candidates should possess applied Quality Control skills, including inspection and measurement of machined components. Relevant technical training or diploma in machining, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience working with CNC machines in a production environment, preferably in aerospace or high-precision industries. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and measurement reports. Familiarity with safety standards, shop practices, and basic preventive machine maintenance. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work both independently and within a team setting.
