About the role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Noisy. At heights. Confined spaces. Outdoors. Tasks: Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures. Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Repair and overhaul to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. Troubleshoot aircraft structural systems. Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems. Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports. Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble. Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. Perform and document routine maintenance. Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies. Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AME «S» Licence - Structures. Computer and technology knowledge: Data acquisition system (DAS or DAQ). MS Office. Aviation special processes: Heat treatment. Aircraft experience: Large turbine helicopters. Medium turbine helicopter. Structural repair experience - aircraft: Aircraft structures - general. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Excellent oral communication.
