Engineering & Maintenance at ITTC North Bay
Our Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) team is central to delivering on that mission.
Supporting a dedicated tactical jet fleet, the team ensures aircraft are safe, serviceable, and mission-ready to meet the demands of tactical flight operations. The environment is operationally focused and fast-paced, where attention to detail and technical excellence directly impact readiness and performance.
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our growing North Bay operation.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for monitoring and verifying compliance with the Quality Assurance Program in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) 573.09.
This role performs independent inspections, audits, and surveillance activities across aircraft maintenance, modification, and avionics projects to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and approved procedures. The successful candidate will provide objective assessments of AMO performance while supporting continuous improvement in quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent inspections and surveillance activities related to aircraft maintenance, modification, and avionics projects

Perform audits of maintenance processes, documentation, and technical records

Verify compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), AMO procedures, approved maintenance data, and engineering requirements

Monitor maintenance release procedures, technical records, configuration control, and documentation accuracy

Identify non-conformances, deviations, and operational risks while supporting corrective and preventative actions

Prepare detailed audit and inspection reports, including findings and recommendations

Maintain accurate QA documentation and records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements

Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement

Participate in internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections as required

Maintain independence and objectivity in all QA activities
Qualifications & Experience

Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence preferred, or equivalent aviation technical background

Minimum 3–5 years of experience within an AMO environment

Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), particularly Subpart 573

Experience with AMO Quality Assurance Programs, audits, inspections, and surveillance activities considered an asset

Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance
