Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 37 aircraft and employs approximately 1100 employees in one of the world's most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing their tradition of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service for the growing number of people living and doing business in this enchanting region of Nunavik in Northern Québec.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate all station activities (counter, cargo, ramp) to provide exceptional, hassle-free customer service, both internal and external;
  • Perform all functions required for the smooth running of base operations: counter services, cargo services, and medical evacuation;
  • Ensure that personnel work in a safe environment;
  • Maintain good communication with our customers, partners and service providers;
  • Perform all other tasks required by the company to ensure efficient operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the airline industry in a similar position;
  • Basic knowledge of Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • One-year experience with the passenger and cargo programs;
  • Bilingual (English/Inuktituk) or (French/Inuktituk) or (French/English);
  • Hold of a valid driving licence;
  • Good communication skills in both speaking and writing;
  • The capacity to offer an excellent customer service;
  • Punctual and reliable;
  • Available to travel occasionally for training;
  • Available to work evenings, nights and weekends;

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Rotation Schedule - 2 weeks of work followed by 2 weeks OFF
  • If the position is filled locally, the work location will be Sept-Iles;

  • Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy
