Division info:

Located in Saint-Hubert, on the South Shore of Montreal, the Héroux-Devtek engineering office is where it all starts. It is in our recent building, bright and protected from traffic jams that we design, test, and qualify the landing gears of tomorrow.

Summary of position:

Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the Operational Buyer at Héroux-Devtek is responsible for examining, analyzing and purchasing common raw materials, parts or services in quantity, quality, price and delivery times that meet the needs of internal customers. He also monitors purchases and validates material and/or process requirements.

Main responsibilities:

•Analyze requisitions in accordance with established procedures.

•Analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery times.

•Issue purchase orders and obtain manufacturing drawings/techniques when required.

•Manage contracts and purchase files.

•Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.

•Update the system with the latest delivery information.

•Identify and communicate critical situations with management.

•Visit suppliers to resolve issues as needed.

•Keep scheduling settings up to date.

•Manage supplier performance through monitoring and feedback.

•Represent program procurement at operations meetings, as required.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in operations management or business administration or relevant experience

•Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the aviation industry

•Bilingual English and French, spoken and written

•Good communicator

•Speed of learning

•Knowledge of an MRP/ERP system

•Knowledge of quality standards used in aeronautics
