Located in Saint-Hubert, on the South Shore of Montreal, the Héroux-Devtek engineering office is where it all starts. It is in our recent building, bright and protected from traffic jams that we design, test, and qualify the landing gears of tomorrow.

The Design Technician will provide computer aided design (Catia V5) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches.

Main responsibilities:

• Utilizes computer aided drafting software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings.
• Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects.
• Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using Catia V5 software. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final designs.
• Identifies areas for design improvement.

Qualifications:

• DEC in mechanical engineering, concentration in design;
• 5 years of relevant experience;
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 3D solid modeling and drafting;
• Good knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis
• Excellent knowledge of functional dimensioning (GD&T)
• Knowledge of MS office suite
• Team and customer-oriented
• Excellent attention to detail and rigor in all aspects of work.
