The Opportunity:

Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for an Aviation Security Coordinator (18-month contract) to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As a coordinator, you will support the Manager, Security Regulatory Compliance by performing coordinating activities related to the Airline Security Program. The position reports to the Manager of Security and Regulatory Compliance and will be in Toronto, On.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily review of aviation security reports received for the purpose of processing and classification.
  • Processing and creating aviation security (AVSEC) occurrences in the SEMS database.

Updating the database with relevant information as received for open security occurrences.

  • Generating security statistical reports.
  • Compile the information pulled from the database to the spreadsheets.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for review; establish a security occurrence information dashboard.

What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Prior experience in the aviation industry, preferably in one of the following functional areas: Flight Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, In-flight Services; Ground Handling considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of computer applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
  • Effective communication skills (including report writing).
  • An understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
