Main Accountabilities Include:

  • Supervise a team of tow agents and allocate resources in conjunction with the planning manager.
  • Towing different types of aircrafts safely and securely.
  • Complete Shift Reports and Internal Audits.
  • Perform inspection of tow tractor and tow bar prior to each use.
  • Responsible for safe push back and communications with the flight crew during push back.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
  • Communicate with Apron Control/Ground Control.
  • Prepare disciplinary incident and or termination reports as needed for violations of company policy.
  • Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies.
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
  • Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Aeronautical Radio License (ROC-A).
  • Must possess a valid AVOP and be able to pass the D AVOP exam written and practical.
  • Prior Tow experience preferable.
  • Prior Brake Riding Experience preferable.
  • Minimum 6 months' ramp experience mandatory.
  • Must be able to push, pull lift up to 70lbs when required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Must have a valid Provincial driver's license G or G2 with good driving record.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain the security level required for this position.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
  • Must be reliable.

Other requirements:

  • Computer literate, basic knowledge of MS Office as well as other related programs.
  • Previous airline/aviation operational knowledge is required.
  • Must hold a valid Purple RAIC.
  • Familiar with GOMs, Airline procedures, Airport procedures, Airport legislation.
  • Fully versed on SGHA concepts.
  • KPI/SLA driven to meet customer expectations by delivering excellence.
