 Sets up and operates coordinate measuring equipment in order to make complex, precise measurements of materials.
 Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts for product specifications such as tooling instructions, tolerances and dimensions.
 Verifies the conformance of parts to manuals and blueprints with respect to measurements.
 Writes or modifies existing programs.
 Reads and interprets measurement output data and element graphics data. Interprets data to validate measurement output.
 Interprets technical specifications, directives and relevant publications to identify discrepancies and deficiencies.
 Liaises with engineering and other production staff as required to troubleshoot, research and solve technical problems.
 Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.
 Cross trains in other complementary skills as needed to support production requirements.
 Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
 Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
 Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
 Carries out other duties as assigned.



 Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
 Attainment of applicable inspection stamp(s).
 High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision.
 Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
 Strong mathematical aptitude.
 Good analytical, oral and written communication skills.
 Working knowledge of company instructions, company processes, reworks process instructions and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
 Working knowledge of production management computer systems and other related internal control systems.
 Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
 Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.
