As a Mechanic (Engine Test Cell Operator), you'll test gas turbine engines.

What you'll do:

  • Data acquisition and electrical system troubleshooting
  • Troubleshooting Test cell equipment and coordinating repairs with assistance of test cell OEM support
  • Involved with test cell system upgrades
  • Installing and preparing engines or components for test
  • Testing of engine and dynamic components
  • Become familiar with all test cell systems
  • Ensure that test cell calibration and maintenance is carried out
  • Applicant will be required to work overtime as required.

Position Requirements

  • Accredited post-secondary or technical college education
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with gas turbine engines is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter and motivated, able to work unsupervised when required
  • Excellent computer systems familiarity: Data Acquisition systems, Windows XP and/or 11, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly: Report writing and verbal communication
  • Familiarity of electrical wiring schematics and technical drawings is preferred
  • Willing to learn multiple engines testing
  • Test cell experience is preferred but not necessary for the position.Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A high level of efficiency; the ability to adhere to specific quality standards while meeting production deadlines
  • Willing to work overtime as required, including short notice
