Coulson Aviation operates with a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

This full-time position has been created due to the rapidly expanding operations in Port Alberni, B.C. We are seeking a hardworking candidate with a very strong attention to detail. The Logistics Coordinator will lead and maintain all areas of the logistics and regulatory requirements. There will be no shortage of engaging work at Coulson Aircrane, a company that strives to set high standards in the aviation industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Adhere to all Coulson safety policies and procedures
• Validates orders and inventory for accuracy
• Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
• Reviewing and approving freight charges and invoices
• Create a daily shipment schedule
• Perform quality audits of the condition of goods for outgoing items prior to signing off
• Responsible for receiving and shipping activities of all inbound and outbound materials
• Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
• Strong communication with vendors to confirm shipping status for orders
• Perform other duties as assigned

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year of experience in Logistics
• Experience in the aviation or manufacturing industry preferred
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong team player and good interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to company value and ethic
