We are seeking a Scheduling Analyst for our Commercial team to join our rapidly expanding, dynamic organization!

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:

Reporting to the Director, Network & Scheduling Planning, the Scheduling Analyst will be responsible for developing, modifying, and publishing flight schedules taking into consideration the crew and maintenance requirements of the aircraft. A vital role in the organization, this position will drive commercial results while meeting the operational needs to run an on-time airline.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary user of the Flight Scheduling System (FSS) and Passenger Services System (PSS) to maintain and manage the process of route scheduling development and maintenance.
  • Interface with internal departments (including Finance, Operation Control, Technical Operations, Flight Operations and Airport Operations), the executive team, and external stakeholders such as airports and airport service providers to ensure that the schedule adheres to all operational parameters.
  • Work jointly with Network Planning in schedule development and schedule changes.
  • Assist the operations support team with accommodation of IROP and ad-hoc flight scheduling.
  • Generate and publish schedule files for transfer to the Flight Operating System and PSS.
  • Develop written reports and presentations for the commercial team as required.
  • Liaise with airport slot coordinators to improve or acquire existing and new slots, taking into consideration effects on other departments.

  • 3+ years of previous airline experience in a commercial aircraft scheduling capacity.
  • Advanced digital literacy, including proficiency in FSS and PSS software.
  • Ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues using an analytical framework and develop creative solutions to business challenges.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills while working with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and persuasively with senior management using verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative, driven, creative and innovative mindset.
  • Passion for problem-solving, creative thinking, and continuous improvement.
  • Post-secondary education.
