We are seeking a Network Planning Analyst for our Commercial team to join our rapidly expanding, dynamic organization!

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:

Reporting to the Director, Network & Scheduling Planning, the Network Planning Analyst will analyze and develop the route network. Using advanced skills in design, configuration, training and testing of the Network Planning System, the main objective will be to maximize aircraft utilization hours as well as the financial return from the route network by optimizing the mix of routes, aircraft deployment, frequencies and timings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary user of the Network Planning System to maintain and manage the development process of network planning.
  • Develop written reports and presentations for the commercial team as required to provide decision support to ensure revenue is maximized.
  • Identifying potential routes by conducting marketing analysis, producing financial forecasts, and recommending routes for launch.
  • Work with stakeholders to conduct research to acquire knowledge on availability of traffic rights, as well as competitor and airport constraints.
  • Create and maintain databases using internal and external data sources to evaluate route performance, conduct drill-down analysis to optimize aircraft deployment, flight frequencies and timings to improve performance and plan strategies to correct performance shortfalls.
  • Liaise with airport air service developers to attain additional airport-related data to support decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects and strategic analysis to drive value for the network.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous airline experience in a commercial aircraft planning capacity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of airline route networks and commercial aircraft terminology.
  • Advanced digital literacy, including proficiency in a Network Planning System.
  • Passion for problem-solving, creative thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and persuasively with senior management using verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills while working with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Collaborative, driven, creative and innovative mindset.
  • Post-secondary education.
