This position may be located in Toronto or Montreal.
  • The Manager, Brand and Corporate Events is a specialized role on the Brand Marketing team responsible for managing and executing projects in support of internal stakeholder groups, specifically Global Sales across Canada including the Quebec market.
  • The Manager, Brand and Corporate Events partners with internal stakeholders, leaders, colleagues, and agency partners to design and execute Business-to-Business (B2B, e.g. travel agencies, corporate travel) and Business-to-Customer (B2C) events. This role works closely with the Global Sales team and is responsible for bringing innovative ideas to life for client hosting opportunities, industry and agency events, and global trade shows.
  • Development and execution of VP and Senior Director led events for Global Sales and Alliances, including but not limited to Global Sales Conference/AC World, Corporate Partners Forum, Trade shows, assistance on US/International events, JV/Alliances events, and trade events
  • End to end management of live, virtual, and hybrid events including communications (invitations, registration forms, etc), supplier/vendor contract negotiation, event design, brand integration, and logistical details as appropriate for each event.
  • Responsible for creating and managing work back schedules, liaising with other internal partners and external suppliers to ensure consistent and coordinated schedules for all events, working closely with Legal and Finance.
  • Integration of the AC brand through all customer touch points at events including landing pages and emails, trade expo design, branded merchandise, and event materials and collateral.
  • Reporting and analysis to ensure the executions drive Air Canada’s business and brand objectives, including surveys, reports, reconciliation analysis, and post-event summaries
  • This position will manage and execute route launches, inaugural and anniversary flights, and other in-airport Brand activations.
  • Support the management and execution of Brand events such as Canada’s Best New Restaurants, new product launch events, media events, Loyalty events, and other initiatives as required.
  • Maintain AC’s event management tool, Splash including upkeep of templates and contact lists.
  • Utilize your network to negotiate best rates and conditions for all event related venues, suppliers, vendors and materials.
  • Communicate with colleagues, contractors, agency partners, and external suppliers in a skilled and professional manner.
  • Use your experience to problem solve and communicate as necessary to ensure effective results
  • Keep current on industry technology, news and trends, and positively contribute to the Brand and Sponsorship team with insights and strategic point of views.


  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Degree/diploma in marketing/communications
  • Minimum 5+ years of marketing campaign, event execution, and communication experience
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must possess exceptional organization, negotiation, problem-solving, crisis management and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel for work activities is required
  • Experience in working with virtual event programs such as Teams Events, WebEx, On24, etc is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications for web updates (such as Jira or Trello) as well as MS Office applications (PPT, Excel, Word); experience in Adobe, Salesforce and online event management tools such as Splash is an asset
  • Can work independently and is self-reliant, with the ability to function autonomously
  • Takes initiative, values teamwork and cooperation, and excels in building positive relationships
  • Experience with brands and events of a premium nature is preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
