Security Guard, Airport

We are looking for a motivated Full Time Security Guard to join our team at a local Airport in Thunder Bay. The schedule is a mix of mornings, afternoon and overnights and guarantees 40 hours/week. This is a great opportunity for advancement. To be successful in this role, you must be able to obtain Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and valid Airport issued Airside Vehicle Operator's permit (AVOP).

What does a Security Guard in Thunder Bay do?

• Control access to restricted areas and areas with limited access

• Foot and Vehicle Patrols

• Enforcing Aviation security rules and regulations

• Verifying employee credentials

• Provide excellent customer service

• Parking enforcement

• Responding to door alarms, panic alarms, medical emergencies, building evacuation

• Directing passengers and escorting people in restricted areas

• Respond to alarms and report any events, illegal acts or violations

• Participate in emergency operations according to the emergency response plan

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Thunder Bay

• Valid security guard license and first aid card

• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule

• Valid Drivers G license with clean abstract

• Must be able to obtain Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and valid Airport issued Airside Vehicle Operator's permit (AVOP)

• Have a clean criminal record

• Be eligible to work in Canada

• 18 years of age or older
