Aircraft Refurbishing Innovation Apprentice: NOC 9936

Job Description:

Analyze exterior surface components of the aircraft for blemishes or rust spots and develop paint applications in compliance with industry standards.

Painting and priming of aircraft components and aircraft panels.

Operate equipment to clean, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective or decorative coatings.

Prepare and apply stencils, computer-generated decals or other decorative items on finished products.

Liaise with Aircraft Maintenance staff and determine the most appropriate processes and products to maintain aircraft surface finish and performance.

Responsible for the removal of aircraft interiors, development of repair and refurbishment processes, overhaul of panels and coverings and return aircraft interior to customer standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Must be attentive to detail and able to work under minimal supervision.

Completion of Industrial Painting course would be an asset.

Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned job related tasks would be an asset.

Applicants must live near the work place. Relocation is mandatory if not currently living in the work area.
