Position Summary

Reporting to the Turbine Shop Manager, the Fuel Nozzle Technician is responsible to perform work on engines and related parts in the Turbine Shop.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Accomplish the overhaul, repair and testing of engine fuel nozzles in accordance with the applicable manuals, specifications and procedures as outlined in Turbine Shop Procedures manual and standard industry product types as required to achieve shop production schedules
  • Perform support work for the Line Maintenance department at all EIC bases
  • Make ongoing work scope recommendations based upon shop floor observations to the Turbine Shop Manager
  • Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred
  • Garrett 331 and PW 100-series experience considered an asset
  • Any aircraft post graduate training would be considered an asset
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
  • Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
  • Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
