Production Control Manager - Line

Permanent / Full-Time Position

Located – 290 McTavish Road NE, Calgary, AB

Aircraft Type: DC-3T, DHC-6, Beechcraft 200/1900D

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager (PRM ) your role includes:

  • Provide leadership to base engineers, field engineers and apprentices including such areas as technical support, scheduling, compensation, progressive discipline, recruitment, and performance reviews.
  • Interpretation of industry technical publications, CAR's and the company MCM/MPM ensuring adherence to the prescribed maintenance policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Active participation in the safety management system.
  • Perform duties as outlined in section 2.2.6 of the MCM and position descriptor.
  • Act as the prime liaison between KBA and the aircraft/engine/equipment manufacturer with regards to technical issues, engineering requests and other applicable correspondence.
  • Ensure that internal and external audit findings, observations, recommendations, investigations, and corrective action plans are acted upon or implemented within the prescribed period of time.
  • Assign and schedule AMEs for sub-bases and field assignments while liaising with the Maintenance Administrator to update the crew schedule.
  • Ensure that all special tools required to accomplish specific maintenance are provided to aircraft on site and on time to accomplish the necessary maintenance.
  • Periodically carry out base visits to ensure that the applicable standards are being adhered to.
  • Prepare and submit capital, expansion, and maintenance budgets including training, travel, required compliance, tooling and other applicable expenditures.
  • Identify, coordinate, and develop with the Maintenance Manager, any required in-house training seminars and/or recurrent training requirements for maintenance and support staff, or pilot elementary work.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to field and remote base maintenance personnel including, but not limited to, aircraft troubleshooting, interpretation of manufacturer's technical publications, the use of special tooling, parts requirements, provide guidance with regards to actions to be taken following an abnormal occurrence, and application of Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications Include:

  • Licensed M1 and/or M2 with minimum five (5) years aircraft maintenance experience with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
  • Must be able to write, read, and understand technical publications related to aircraft maintenance operations and reporting.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and demonstrate ability to utilize Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) software to research parts availability, and other data needed to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, schedule and integrate complex events in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid passport required
